To help construct the immense amount of hybrid vehicles that Toyota produces, Toyota has announced that they plan to have five plants to build hybrid powertrains in the U.S. for their vehicles! The projects that Toyota has in mind should be operating by the year 2020. What exactly will get produced in these facilities?
In the five planned facilities, there will be components of hybrid vehicles like 2.5-liter cylinder heads, engines, and hybrid transaxles, that get manufactured. Two of the locations that will get included in these endeavors include West Virginia and Kentucky. With the engines that get constructed from the locations of the facilities, they will get crafted into the hybrid vehicles that Toyota creates in North America. Although this is a groundbreaking aspect for Toyota, another benefit is that it is also going to create jobs!
The hybrid and electric vehicle selection that Toyota has is astounding, and its production continues to grow. Do you want to take a look at hybrid vehicles that Toyota offers?
